HOW I WORK
A clear path from idea to launch
Four phases, no surprises. You always know where the project is, what is coming next, and what I need from you.
The four phases
Project phases
Discovery & Strategy
Week 1We start with a real conversation about your business, your customers, and the outcome you actually want. No questionnaires, no proposals full of buzzwords. Just clarity.
What You Get
- 60-minute kickoff call (recorded)
- Written project brief with goals, success metrics, and constraints
- Competitor and reference review
- Sitemap and content outline
- Realistic timeline and budget confirmed in writing
Your Role
Show up to the call. Share what you know about your customers. That is the whole job for this phase.
Design
Weeks 2-3I design directly in the tools the site will be built with, so what you see in review is what ships. No PDF mockups that look great and feel wrong.
What You Get
- Mobile-first layouts for every page
- Color, type, and component system tied to your brand
- Clickable preview link (private URL)
- Two structured review rounds with consolidated feedback
- Final design sign-off before any production code
Your Role
Review the preview, leave comments where things feel off. I drive the changes.
Development
Weeks 3-6I write the site by hand. Fast, accessible, owned by you, hosted where you want. No page-builder lock-in, no plugin tax, no dependency on me to keep the lights on.
What You Get
- Hand-written code (WordPress + Elementor, Shopify, or Next.js depending on fit)
- SEO, performance, and accessibility built in, not bolted on
- Forms, CMS, integrations, analytics wired up
- Staging environment you can test from anywhere
- Weekly progress notes so you are never wondering where we are
Your Role
Provide content as agreed in Discovery. Test the staging site on your own devices.
Launch & Handover
Week 7Launch happens on a planned day, on a low-traffic window, with a rollback path ready. After launch I stay close for two weeks to catch anything the test plan missed.
What You Get
- Pre-launch checklist run (performance, SEO, analytics, redirects)
- DNS cutover with monitored downtime
- All accounts and credentials transferred to your ownership
- Recorded handover walkthrough of the CMS and analytics
- Two weeks of post-launch support included
Your Role
Pick the launch date. Tell people the new site is live.

How I work, every single project
These are not aspirations. They are the ground rules for every project I take on.
Response Time
Under 4 hours during business days. Often much faster. You message me directly, not a ticket queue.
Full Transparency
Real progress notes every week, not status theater. If something is behind, you hear about it from me first.
No Surprises
Scope, timeline, and price agreed in writing before the project starts. Changes are scoped and quoted before any work happens.
You Own Everything
Code, content, domain, hosting, analytics, every account. If you ever stop working with me, the site is yours to take anywhere.
