Summit Plumbing Co.

Summit Plumbing had 14 employees and was spending $3,200 per month on a local agency for Google Ads and website maintenance. The owner, Marcus, was frustrated: he could not tell what his money was doing, leads were slipping through the cracks, and his agency took 3 days to respond to emails. I replaced the entire agency relationship with a direct engagement: rebuilt the website, took over Google Ads, optimized the Google Business Profile, and set up automated lead follow-up so no call goes unanswered.

01

The Challenge

Marcus was paying $3,200 per month to a Tampa-based agency. He had no visibility into what they were doing. His Google Ads account had 40% of budget going to irrelevant search terms like "plumbing school" and "plumber salary." His website was a 2019 WordPress theme that loaded in 8 seconds on mobile. His Google Business Profile had 23 reviews with zero replies. When a lead filled out the contact form, it went to an email inbox nobody checked until morning. By the time someone called back, the customer had already hired someone else.

The Process

01

Audit & takeover

Audited the existing Google Ads account and found 40% of spend going to irrelevant terms. Reviewed the website (8s load, no mobile optimization, no conversion tracking). Took over both within the first week.

02

Website rebuild

Built a new Next.js site in 10 days. Mobile-first, 1.2s load, service-area pages for 12 Tampa neighborhoods, emergency CTA sticky on mobile, click-to-call on every page.

03

Ads + Local SEO

Rebuilt Google Ads targeting emergency plumbing and high-intent local searches. Optimized Google Business Profile with keyword-rich descriptions, weekly posts, and a review reply strategy. Set up automated review requests via QR code at every job.

04

Lead automation

Built an n8n workflow: new form submission triggers a text to the lead within 60 seconds, asks 3 qualifying questions, and books the estimate on the dispatcher calendar. Marcus gets a notification only for qualified leads ready to be dispatched.

The Solution

Local SEOGoogle AdsWeb DevelopmentAutomation

I rebuilt the site on Next.js with mobile-first design, cut load time from 8 seconds to 1.2 seconds, and added service-area pages for each neighborhood Summit serves. Took over Google Ads and cut wasted spend by rebuilding keyword targeting around emergency services and high-intent local searches. Optimized the Google Business Profile with keyword-rich service descriptions, location tags, and a review reply strategy. Built an n8n automation that texts new leads within 60 seconds of form submission, qualifies them with 3 questions, and books the estimate directly on the dispatcher calendar.
